For my inhale, I read and annotated “Dream Deferred” and “This Land Is Not Just A Plateform For My Dance”. I found the use of figurative language, the mood of the poem, and my understanding of the text. For the second poem, I also made notes of how it was structured. One is a question and the other poem is a strong statement.
For my exhale, I drew a picture of my version of the “Dream Deferred” and added an artist statement.
