I read the Da Vinci Code book by Dan Brown to learn more about the mystery genre, a figure of speech, perspective, and characterization. This book also showed how me how Da Vinci used symbolism to show what his painting secretly meant. The Da Vinci Code is a conspiracy theory about the holy grail and how it is a person and not the galls that Jesus drank out of in the last supper. It also ties in with the medieval period in Europe and how art and religion were mixed together.
