Internet users have been talking about Elon Musk for a while now. You can find articles doing anything from having a factual background stories on him to articles treating his name like dirt. The funny thing is, when you say his name, you immediately cause an uproar with Musk haters or lovers, and on both sides there is a valid argument.
Some people think that he is destroying the environment rather than fixing it, making him out to be a hypocrite. The main argument for this cause is his private jet. Internet users claim that if Elon Musk would use a commercial airline instead of his jet then he would lessen his carbon footprint. What other say would happen is, his trips to Tesla and SpaceX would become longer and less efficient and these travels could tire him out. The time wasted would slowly start affecting the quality of his work, slowly causing the downfall of Tesla.
Tesla is also a controversial topic. Elon Musk has been the CEO of Tesla Motors as of October 2008 to present time. Something people accuse Elon Musk of doing is stealing the glory of Tesla away from J B Straubel, chief of Tesla motors. A lot of people say that Elon Musk is an investor in Tesla, someone who helped them get on their feet. These people do admit that now, he does help out with the company and is a valuable resource.
Even in his first company, Zip2, Elon Musk worked crazy hours every day like he does now, with his employees. Some say he forces his employees to work these hours with him. When you work for Musk, its either you live his lifestyle, or be fired. This mistreatment of his peers has caused so much destruction and havoc. He has different patterns and expectations, you are expected to learn and follow them in anyway possible and sometimes, even if it isn’t possible.
In short form, Elon Musk is not particularly a bad person. He uses carbon, and
protects the environment. He can be extremely harsh but is understanding and knows when he is wrong. He isn’t a saint, but also isn’t the devil.
